- 1 large onion diced
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1-3 tsp. olive oil
- 2, 16 ounce cans of stewed tomatoes
- 1 lb of ground meat
- 1 cup of water
- 8 ounces of whole wheat macaroni
- salt to taste
- Parmesan cheese (optional)
- *adding frozen veggies to it like corn, or bell pepper is a great option
- Saute garlic and onion
- Brown meat, drain
- Add beef, tomatoes, water, raw macaroni, and salt to the onion mixture.
- Simmer for 15-20 minutes
- Top with cheese
- Serve with a salad
